I've produced a few shows where Miss Franklin performed. Not only did she insist on cash before the performances she always brought her purse on stage (this was 2010-2015). Also no air conditioning was permitted in the venues for her rehearsal and performances (the venues did turn the a/c on and off, while yes, Miss Franklin is the Queen of Soul, there are 500, 1000, 2000 audience and production members sweating).
