My mom LOVED Luther. I LOVE Luther. It breaks my heart that he couldn't love openly and freely. I always wonder if he was thinking of someone in particular when he recorded "A House is Not a Home." Way too much emotion in those vocals for it not to be directed at somebody he was in totally enamored with. <3

I've thought/wondered the same. My heart breaks and soars listening to him dip and coast on those tracks, and I always wonder who it was who left him feeling so many feelings. I wish he'd had the space to love and be loved out loud.

Saeed, are you gonna do a pre-order where you sign copies of the book?

That’s a good question. Let me ask the folks at Coffee House Press.

I absolutely loved loved Luther Vandross, and was lucky enough to see him in London 1987. The best concert I've ever been to.
