Today’s diary entry is about how being on the road again for book events has also been an incredible education on the state of labor in our country. From bookstores and arts organizations to hotels and airports, it’s clear that people’s expectations and awareness around the work they do and how they’re treated while doing that work has changed dramatically. Rightfully so.
As a proud alum of the “Fuck You, Pay Me” School of the Arts, I love to see people in all walks of life speaking up and coming together in solidarity.
